House Plant Series
Iām definitely a #crazyplantlady.
This series started after years of me creating solargraphs outside. It was a freezing winter day - I wanted to go out and put up a pinhole camera but was too cold, so I wondered to myself if I could create a solargraph indoors. I looked at my house plants, placed a camera in the dirt of my ZZ Plant and waited a few weeks to see what would happen. I noticed there was a lot of movement in the final image - I could visibly see the growth of my plant! My excitement has led me to create many of these in my windowsills and I even leave cameras at friends houses to capture their plants. This idea led me to pursue a larger scale version of this project at the Tucker Street Community Garden in Trenton, NJ from 2020-2023.
